REQUIREMENTS

This activity is suitable for all levels of ability and experience. The activity includes heights and some strenuous physical activity, so a base level of fitness is necessary.

ABOUT

Often described as the “backbone of England,” the Peak District National Park stands between Sheffield and Manchester and offers some of the most amazing rock-climbing experiences in the UK.

With many expert climbers visiting the Peak District and gear manufacturers testing their equipment on the gritstone edges, this is an ideal place to start for beginners or those who wish to brush up on their bouldering skills.

Join us for the day and share your experience with others as you explore the many boulder problems the Peak District has to offer.

ITINERARY

Below is what we aim to do during your itinerary. However, sometimes we do need to change the planned routes due to weather, group ability, environmental conditions, closures etc.

Your guide, instructor, or leader will make the final call on the day. (This doesn’t affect the meeting point)

Meet at 9:00am at Hollin Bank Car Park (Stanage Plantation), in the heart of the Peak District.

Our guide will meet you here, introduce everyone with a quick briefing and then take you to "Britain's Best Crag" - Stanage!

Stanage is made up of 3 areas (Stanage North, Stanage Plantation and Stanage Popular) and is Britain’s longest gritstone edge. It has been the proving ground of many world class climbers and boasts some of the best boulder problems in the Peak District. Stanage Plantation is the ideal spot for a bouldering day out with an extensive range of boulder problems at a range of grades. It is perfect for any boulderer from beginner to advanced.

The day will finish around 16:00pm back at the car park.
