Having launched the events page on the No Boundaries website, we kick-started this year off organising a Climbing and Photography event with the well-known UK-based climber and photographer Lena Drapella in the Lake District. Lena has worked with international athletes and collaborated with huge names such as National Geographic, GoPro, Sweaty Betty, Climber Magazine, Mammut, and more with her images published worldwide.

The Lake District offers wonderful 360-degree views and with the climbing skills and techniques taught by Lena to the group of adventurers who booked onto the weekend activity, there were more hidden places to uncover. Individuals stayed in comfortable accommodation getting to know one another before starting their journey outdoors to the RuneStone Quarry. After a full-day workshop of climbing and photography, there was a delicious dinner back at the hotel ready for the next day heading out to trad climb in the Black Crag/Long Scar.

Getting outside in the beautiful weather is the best thing to do to reconnect with nature, meet people from all walks of life and make long-lasting memories. There was also a social media competition whereby each member sent in their professional photographers from the weekend with Lena and won a voucher to use towards a No Boundaries adventure. The winner was Arlen with his picture shown below with some of the other photos taken during the event. This successful event is the first of many and we are really pleased that all our members enjoyed the unique experience in the Lake District. Lena’s Climbing and Photography workshop continues in other locations so get onto our events page today and take a look!
